Our academy is a state of the art performance facility, featuring Trackman, a large adjustable PuttAway green, a gym designed with a golfer in mind, various training aids and an Orka club fitting studio.

 

The Aviary offers world-class coaching from our in house Head PGA professional Darren Cain. Darren has over twenty years of experience across many prestigious golf clubs across the North West, teaching all ages and abilities. He is certified by Trackman, ensuring you get the best possible experience from your lesson and as much detail as you wish from the system.  Whether you want to take up golf, lower your handicap, turn pro or just occasional tweaks to your swing, book in with Darren and see how your golf rapidly improves! We are proud to now also have three more experienced PGA professionals, Simon Dyson Matt Mew & Liam Cassidy as part of our coaching line up. They are externally based but offer lessons at The Aviary with full use of our technology and facility. Please note our residents handle their own payments, so contact them directly for packages and queries. Our gift cards are also not valid with resident coaches.

Simon had a hugely successful playing career - he played on the European Tour from 2001 to 2017, having played on the Asian Tour in 2000 and winning the Order of Merit. He had six wins on the European Tour, including the KLM Open three times. He also ticked off every golfer's number one bucket list goal - playing at the Masters! Injury meant he has now turned his focus to coaching, and passing on his expertise. Matt turned professional after a successful amateur career. He has experience with golfers of all skill levels, and running a popular junior programme.
